The time of great emotions has passed... There was silence. But not in every aspect. I see how my graded unit is wonderfully evolving, how quickly new ideas coming. It’s great, I am more than happy. I actually started a new project. It is not exactly a continuation, this is something new as a result of my hard work during last several weeks, months and years as well. And my inspirational garden... Further work I am going embed more on design unlike my previous project which was embedded on a different kind of texture.
But all my work will be based on a natural form as usual. Me... the person who is absolutely and completely devoted to nature.

Gradual preparation for the completion of the Graded Unit project and my great exhibition summarising the four years of study on art and design department, contemporary art practices course. That’s very important and emotional time for me, I am so happy and so physically exhausted as well. The current week was full of work. I was very focused on final creation so here is a result. A bit of yellow tactical texture created by onion skin as a natural dyeing. Relax... very important during the intensive creating. I am still working on my project but not so many hours as usually. At some point we speand all day in a very relaxing place on Scottish Highlands, in Landmark 😍🤩❤️ The way back was incredible. We had a nice winter at this spring 😂 Near Glen Shee Of course during my relaxation time was not possible to not think about an art, texture etc. I took a grey photos of a moving plasma... I noticed on it a good opportunity to catch some implied texture. And finally back to my art paradise. Last week I spend mostly on my final piece project. I see a “new baby”. An idea is great. I want to split my art piece on a two separate parts but related to each other. Everything based on a texture... Now I am working on a tectical texture project. Nothing is more exciting than working with a natural fabrics. All of materials which I am using for my project are a natural fibres and dyed natural with a plants.
Dyeing the different kind of natural fibres I noticed that some of them are taking more pigment some less. The best and most sensitive for a natural dyeing is definitely a silk. I Have to do something else... Weaving loom, this is my inspiration today to express a texture in some different way. That is also helpful to extend my perspective of graded unit. Kind of experiment, maybe more vizualization of my mind topic. Texture... gives an extra dimension can add expression and finally emotions. So when i am creating a piece of art Imalways consider the dimension of my work, colour and composition. This is a photo of a tree bark this a change a bit in photoshop. One piece of bark, the same one photo but four different editions. Some of them are more soft, some more sharp and finally different feeling of see them. I began from collage, layer by layer as in nature. I am using only natural dyeing materials on the raw linen stretch on the wooden frame. At this point i begin consider where i will might place a stitches adding more texture.
French knots as they are my favourite stitches, I also like a running stitches, found objects etc. "I begin with an idea... and then it becomes something else" Picasso Texture in art, design, textiles... how to express and why it is so important to me? Since i begun photograph an environment around me I drawn in texture. I find in a nature, urban environment, I realised that it is because of the layers of colour and the tactil nature of these layers. The rusty peeling paint, irregular shape of the natural object help me to understand how the layers themselves tell a story or journey build up over a years, layer by layer to reveal a past. I touch them, feel an irregular structure. its very common when people see some texturing almost automaticly they reach it to feel it. I check the scent additionally. How exciting how breath taking to consider who they were, what they produced, how many people touch it from the past and finally how many history they can tell us. The last aspect of my considerstion is on the borderline of abstraction, imagination and dream. I realised to transfer my textile work onto canvas and have been experimenting with stitching on a previously natural dyed fabrics as cotton, silk, wool. Some of the texture i am going to create with knitting on a knitting mill to achieve a more different texture. Texture. I can not stop thinking about it. I want, I need to express it in textile medium. All my present photography creation is around the texture... As I mentioned erlier in web description nothing can stop me in the action taken. What mean the texture? Is it only a smoothness or roughness of the surface? Defect of the structure? Relative proportion of the grain, finer size? Interreaction? All if that aspects are represent a texture. But what about the art? Texture in visual art is a perceived surface quality of a work. An element of two or three dimensional designs. Along with other elements of design, can convey a variety of messages and emotions. Physical texture (actual texture or tactical texture) are the patterns of variations upon a solid surface. Having a physical quality then can be felt. Using rough surface can be visually active, whilst smooth surface can be visually restful. The use both can give a sense of personality to a design, or utilised to create emphasis, rhythm, contrast, etc. Visual texture (implied texture) is the illusion of having physical texture. Every material and support surface has its own visual texture - canvas, watercolour paper/ photo quality computer paper. Photography, drawings and paintings use visual texture to portray their own subject matter realistically and with interpretation. Hypertexture define as realistic simulated surface texture produced by adding small distortions across the surface of an object. Fluid morphic, cyber graphics. My experiments around the tactical texture expressed by the textile. And some natural dye fabrics for texture creating. |
